Wesley shirtless scene sparks debate-Spoiler!!

The executive producers of The Vampire Diaries have revealed that they 'argued' over a topless scene.

Speaking at yesterday's Paley Fest, Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec admitted that they feared they were going overboard with nudity on the teen drama.

The debate was sparked by a scene which would see Paul Wesley hanging upside down and shirtless for his role as Stefan Salvatore. They have since decided to air the sequence.

Melinda's story on getting a kiss from Paul Wesley!

March 6, 2010 will forever be etched into my memory because this was the day that my dreams came true.

I walked up to the Saban Theater on Wilshire Blvd at 9:30 a.m. ready to see the cast of The Vampire Diaries later that day at Paleyfest even though the show did not start until 7:00 p.m. I did not care that it began raining buckets; I was on a mission.....to see and get a picture with Paul Wesley. I had bought my ticket back in January and was utterly excited that in 9 hours I would be looking into the eyes of the most gorgeous man alive. I was fourth in line behind some veteran Paleyfest attendees. One lady heard me talking about Paul and how I wanted to get a picture with him and what she said to me made my heart sink. She told me that at this theater the stage was higher and that pictures were impossible. I wanted to cry right then and there in the rain. So, I was trying to resign myself to the fact that an autograph was going to be the only "gift" I would leave Paley with.

At least while I braved the rain and cold outside, I met some amazing Vampire Diaries fanatics. One of the fans I met (@Naira_Robsten) got there right after me. We "met" on Twitter and decided that since we would both be there, it would be nice to actually meet face to face. She is amazing and sweet! Another Vampire Diaries fan also showed up (@BonesFan021) and we all got to know each other and shared our love of TVD. We all huddled together when the cold rain and wind lapped at our faces and bodies making us all feel like frozen popsicles. Luckily, the day flew by since we all had such great company! I truly love Twitter for bringing me together with members of my Vampire Diaries family.

At 5:40, we were allowed inside and you could feel the Vampire buzz really begin to build. I raced down to grab my seat...3rd row aisle seat so that I had a better shot at getting an autograph. I was now watching the clock for the final countdown. It was finally 6:45.....15 minutes to the start of the show....and I began to shake with anticipation. I could not hold my hands still long enough to hold my phone in my hand to send tweets. 10 minutes....5 minutes....my body started shaking and my friend put her hand on mine and said for me to take a deep breath. The show started with a Paley intro and a viewing of the entire episode of "A Few Good Men". Can I just say WOW!! It was amazing and the previews for the rest of the season are mind blowing. The lights came on and I knew I was about to be graced with the magnificence of Paul Wesley. I nearly fainted when he walked onto the stage. I could not believe that he was more gorgeous in person than on the show.....I did not think it was possible to be THAT attractive. In a word, he is exquisite. They all sat down and the moderator began asking them questions. I, of course, put my camera up and started snapping pics of Paul and the cast.....well, mostly Paul ;-) All of a sudden, I saw in my camera that he was waving. I took my camera away from my face and he was waving at ME!!! He winked, pointed to my Team Stefan shirt and gave me a thumbs up. I was stunned. He had noticed me. Then, the questions from the mod ended and the floor was about to open for the fans to ask questions. I immediately threw my hand up in the air, possibly throwing my elbow out of whack with the force, and prayed that I would get called on. Prayer was answered. The mod picked me for the first question and I was given the microphone. With nervous hands, wobbly knees, and a lump in my throat, I stood up looking Mr. Wesley straight in the eyes. I had to get past my fear of public speaking and let Paul know that he is awesome! I first told the entire panel that they made Thursday night television good again...seriously, not since Seinfeld have I truly enjoyed television. Then, I turned to the audience and to the panel to let them know that if they wanted to follow me on Twitter, I am @paulwesleylover. Without hesitation, Paul responded with "really?" I told him yes and he said that he may just have to get a Twitter account just so he could follow me!! I also told him that since Stefan's favorite show is Seinfeld that we belong with one another and he agreed. Paul, if you are reading this, give me a call...we need to set up our first date ;-) Anyway, I then asked him if he ever got nervous while filming a scene....specifically the wonderful sex scene in "The Turning Point". He said he was more nervous now. LOL! I let him know that if he felt like he did not get sufficient time to answer my question, that he was free to get my number after the show. Finally, I let him know that he has been blessed with the BEST. ABS. EVER. It was then that I was about to get the gift of a lifetime. He asked the mod if he could take off his mic to hug me. He jumped off the stage, grabbed me and gave me the biggest bear hug I have ever received. Then to top it off....to add the cherry and whip cream on top.......he KISSED me on the cheek and hand. But wait, it gets BETTER. He kissed me AGAIN!!! I am positive that I felt my heart skip about 1000 beats, jump out of my chest, and slam back beating a million miles an hour. I was beside myself with joy and shock. He made me happier than I have ever been in my entire life and I thank him so much for that. The one thing I do know about that night is that I got a little piece of Heaven and his name is Paul Wesley.

17 Questions W/ Paul Wesley

1) How old were you when you had your first kiss?

I was nine years old and I was in a swimming pool. There was a girl there, and she dared me or I dared her into kissing me underwater. That wasn't a French kiss — that was like a "muah" kiss.

2) Who is your celebrity crush?

Monica Bellucci. I love watching her films, and I think she's super sexy.

3) What girl fashion trend confuses you the most?

What doesn't confuse me about what women wear? When it comes to women's fashion I'm so oblivious. I have no idea what's going on. Some of this stuff from the '80s is just bizarre.

4) What's the chick flick you secretly love?

I'll fully admit that when I went to the movie theater and saw Titanic, I cried afterwards. When Leonardo DiCaprio died, I genuinely had tears. The fact that I'm crying over Leonardo DiCaprio says something.

5) What's your TV guilty pleasure?

I don't have television so I don't watch TV. But when I did, any of those movie reruns on cable. Like Goonies or one of the Godfather movies. I'm a sucker for movie reruns. Anytime they're on, I can't leave the house. I know exactly what's going to happen, and I'm still riveted.

I love the Goonies....

6) Who would play you in the movie version of your life?

Woody Allen. I'm pretty neurotic. Robert Pattinson is like the last person I want to be compared with. I think any girl would throw me under a bus to be within five feet of Robert Pattinson. I actually think he's an attractive guy. And I watched most of Twilight, and I think he was really intriguing.

7) What is your dream job?

If I wasn't a writer/director, I would be an investigative journalist. There's something about being an undercover journalist. I mean that's freakin' cool! Maybe that's just my Hollywood version of investigative journalism. There's this image I have of it being so magnificent, but it's probably a lot harder and grueling than my imagination

8) If you could trade places with anyone in the world for one day, who would it be?

I wanna be Brüno for a day...I'm a huge Sacha Baron Cohen fan.

9) Who in your family are you closest to?

I'm very close with my mom. I talk to my mom more than the average 26 year old. But I'm very close with my grandfather who's actually in Poland. We talk on Skype, in Polish.

Ok who's wants that skype number.. :)

10) What is your favorite Web site?

The Huffington Post.

11) In your opinion, what makes The Vampire Diaries different than other vampire TV shows and films?

It's very independent of all the other stuff out there. The books were written 15 years ago — before Twilight. It's a very original story, and it's important to me that my character and the whole story's judged for what it is.

12) If you were given a superlative on the set of The Vampire Diaries, what would it be?

Most Serious.

13) What's the last song you listened to on your iPod?

I'm really into — everyone's listening to them, they're a great band — Kings of Leon. Just got into them. Their old albums, new albums. I listen to them all the time.

14) What's the last thing you bought?

I'll tell you what I want to buy. I want to buy a Honda Ruckus — it's a scooter. And I want to ride that scooter everywhere.

Skeet Skeet, sorry private joke..

15) What did you dream about last night?

How I'm going to be asked lots of questions tomorrow and I'm not going to have any answers! [laughs] I don't ever remember my dream; it's really sad. I want to. If there's any advice, tell me! I had a lucid dream once, and I want to more.

16) How much money is in your wallet right now?

Like, 12 grand. I'm kidding. I don't actually have a wallet on me. Literally, I have a license and two credit cards. I don't carry a wallet. And no cash.

17) Fill in the blank: When I was 17, I was ____________.

A punk. When I was 17, I thought I was way tougher than I was.

LIVE AT THE PALEY FESTIVAL: THE CW'S "THE VAMPIRE DIARIES"

7:04 PM - Tonight's archival clip is from the 2001 musical episode of "Buffy The Vampire Slayer." Hard to imagine "The Vampire Diaries" ever having Stefan and Damon break into song but Joss Whedon made it work so who knows!

7:08 PM - The Paley Center's Craig Hitchcock ushers in night seven of the festival and brings out TV Guide's Craig Tomashoff, who drops several vampire phrases in his depiction of the cultural phenomenon that is "The Vampire Diaries."

7:12 PM - After a few chuckles about how the show doesn't... wait for it... suck, Craig brings out series creator Kevin Williamson who doesn't waste any time in introducing the newest episode "A Few Good Men," which will air on March 25 on the CW. The audience isn't shy about showing their excitement to see the new episode.

Paleyfest 2010: The Vampire Diaries

As you'd expect, Executive Producers Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec were on hand, as were another Exec. Producer, Bob Levy, and stars Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, and Ian Somerhalder. @PaleyCenter is live tweeting each panel during the Fest, and here's what we learned about TVD from its feed:

* Kevin Williamson's initial feelings about doing the show after reading the first 47 pages of the book: "I don't want to do this; this is 'Twilight'." Followed by, "Oh, this is 'Dark Shadows'!" after finishing the first book and realizing that he wanted to do the project.

* "The Vampire Diaries" has the same special effects people as "True Blood".

* With regard to differences between the show and the books, Williamson said, "We got rid of the fog. In the books the fog follows them around." Plec adds, "We were afraid of letting the fans of the books down" and promises the online and book fans that Damon will peel an orange in an upcoming episode.

* What can fans expect at the end of this season? "I grew up with the 'Knots Landings' of the world, so I love my cliffhangers!" says Williamson of his favorite writing style; as a result, there will be between 7 and 9 cliffhangers in the final episode.
